SHOOTINGS OF GOAL #10

Sustainable Green Europe

VISYON’s local short movie shooting took place between May 28 and May 30, 2024, in the coastal town of Noordwijk, the Netherlands. The picturesque coastal scenery of Noordwijk and its beautiful surrounding area is filled with the authenticity of the true Dutch countryside. This setting provided the perfect backdrop to showcase a compelling story inspired by the Dutch script, created to promote the 10th European Youth Goal: Sustainable Green Europe.

During two highly productive days of shooting, yEUth’s dream team, together with Tanino filmmakers managed to successfully shoot all the scenes according to the original script, in the most satisfactory way, despite the not-very-friendly weather.

This setting was an excellent opportunity for participants to learn new skills related to the film production process, having already learned script writing in the previous project phase. The team effectively encapsulated all the important elements of this important topic in the film.

By making this short film, the Dutch Team wanted to share their personal views and show how they feel. They focused on several issues related to greenwashing and consumer choice. At the same time, they wanted to give their perspective on the world’s wider ecological problems, pointing out the dishonest behavior of large corporations as well as the provisional solutions presented by the mainstream as green solutions. Through the use of narration in the film, and short interview elements, the Dutch VISYONers have tried to convey a more personal perspective.

The experience of working together on this creative endeavor not only enhanced their understanding of sustainable practices but also strengthened their teamwork and technical abilities in filmmaking. The local Dutch group is very excited to share their short movie and contribute to the ongoing dialogue about a sustainable future for Europe.

The Dutch organization, yEUth, extends heartfelt thanks to all participants for their dedication and creativity, making this project a remarkable success, while embracing Tanino Films crew efforts who showed incredible professionalism and a personalized approach to working with the young actors.
